Important synergies in this area can be seen in three key sectors: transport, construction and municipal waste incinerators.

However, the current document does not take into account the challenges and objectives of the new ‘ Circular Economy Action Plan’ and ignores the synergies of the ‘Fit for 55’ package.

Therefore, the report provides an overview of the current legislative and non-legislative actions, mapping out the transition towards a circular economy from a climate-energy perspective and identifying key strategic recommendations.
